Police on the trail of TV thief

Police are appealing for information, following reports of a large television being stolen from a house in the Watersfield Crescent area of Kirkwall.

Officers believe the incident occurred between 11.30pm on Saturday, April 6, and 2.10am on Sunday, April 7

The home was entered via its unlocked front door, according to police.

The person or people responsible are believed to have exited, with the television, through the front door. 

Police are appealing for witnesses who were either home or in the area at the time who may have seen something. 

Officers are encouraging anyone with information to contact Police Scotland on 101, attend at the Kirkwall Police Station or call Crimestoppers anonymously.
