Police urge caution following road accidents

Icy conditions and overnight snow has led to a number of accidents this morning, prompting police to remind motorists to take extra care on the roads.

A section of road by the Orkney Fossil and Heritage Centre has been reduced to one lane this morning, but, according to police, is likely to fully re-open shortly.

Motorists are urged to drive in accordance with the weather conditions and reduce their speed when driving in areas with snow, slush or ice.
