Road accident in Finstown

Emergency crews responded to a road accident in Finstown, in the late hours of Tuesday night.

Two fire engines, as well as police and ambulance staff were called to the scene of a one-vehicle incident on the main road through the village.

It is understood that that part of the Kirkwall to Stromness Road (A965) was closed while emergency services responded.

Firefighters were stood down at 12.45am on Wednesday.
