Sheila goes Stateside to spread Scotland’s creativity
Orkney jewellery designer Sheila Fleet is joining Scotland’s tourism minister and representatives from VisitScotland in the United States and Canada as part of the country’s ongoing Scotland Week celebrations.
As one of VisitScotland’s “Creative Scots”, Sheila will join VisitScotland on a media tour of North America, giving interviews and participating in press events in Toronto and New York. The events are designed to showcase the rich creativity of the Scots and the world-class nature of Scotland’s cultural offering.
Sheila said: “I am delighted to be invited by VisitScotland to promote the creative side of Scotland and proud to also represent Orkney at Scotland week. Scotland has such a vast amount of talent when it comes to being creative.
“We are well known for some of our exquisite textiles such as Harris Tweed and bespoke tartan dress and our Scottish designer jewellery, which is worn all over the world. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for jewellery and the creative Scots we have across our nation.”
