Shetland triumph in senior inter-county football

Shetland have won the senior inter-county football match, beating Orkney 4-1.

Playing in Shetland’s Gilbertson Park, the county footballers were 1-0 up at half-time, but Shetland stepped up a gear in the second half and pulled level through a penalty. They went on to score another three goals in quick succession.

The hockey contest, which was due to be played in Brae this afternoon has been postponed until 11am tomorrow, Sunday, due to travel problems caused by thick fog.
