Blue skies and sunshine greets first official Parkrun
A beautiful morning greeted 108 runners as the first official Parkrun was held.
The event saw a bumper turnout, with runners and walkers, of all ages and abilities, setting off around the Peedie Sea area to complete the 5K route under blue skies and bright sunshine.
Steve Daye from Shetland was first to cross the finish line in a time of 16 minutes 55 seconds, while Hannah Graham was the first woman to finish in 22 minutes 43 seconds.
The Parkrun — free and open to anyone — is a weekly event, with the next run next Saturday, April 28, at 9.30am.
