Call for entries for food and drink awards

Food and drink businesses in Orkney, and from across the Highlands and Islands, are being called upon to enter the 2016 Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards.

Entries are being accepted in categories ranging from the Young Shining Star and Restaurant of the Year to Export and Healthier Food & Drink. A new Innovation category has also been launched to tie in with 2016’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.

The closing date for entries is Friday May 6 and the shortlist will be announced on Wednesday June 29. Winners will be revealed at an event in Inverness on Friday October 21.
