CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund now open
Orkney Islands Council is encouraging local groups to apply for funding from a national youth work fund.
YouthLink Scotland, the national agency for youth work, is now welcoming applications for the latest round of the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund for projects to be delivered in 2016-17.
The Youth Work Fund aims to build the capacity of young people and the youth work organisations who support them, adding to the excellent youth work already being undertaken in Scotland
A total of ÂŁ600,000 is available and the closing date for applications is Wednesday, December 9, at 1pm.
In Orkney it has helped to fund late night football sessions and free dance training among other things.
It is hoped local groups will take the opportunity to look into the funding and apply if they meet the criteria.
