The winner of the supreme sheep title at this year’s Dounby Show was a Charollais gimmer shown by A. & V. Copland, Overhouse, Harray.

Bought in Wales last October as a ewe lamb, the sheep was sired by Aberkinsey Officer and out of a dam by Glyn Coch Mr T.

The reserve champion was a home-bred Cheviot shearling ram owned by J. R. & A. P. Cromarty, Sultigeo, Stenness.

Sired by Cairnside Northern Light the ram was out of a home-bred ewe whose sire was Durran Norseman.
