Crown Estate information evening in Kirkwall

The Crown Estate will be hosting an evening of talks in Kirkwall tomorrow, Tuesday, to share the latest news on the development of commercial wave and tidal energy projects in the county.

This year’s talks will give an update on progress over the past year, including work by development companies to survey the sites and undertake environmental impact assessments.

The talk will also introduce the new Pentland Firth Leadership forum – a partnership between the Crown Estate, Scottish Government, HIE, Orkney Islands Council and the Highland Council, among others, set up to take a strategic approach to supporting project development.

The event, in the Kirkwall Town Hall, begins at 5.45pm.
