Deerness consultation into wind energy projects

The Deerness Community Centre Association is carrying out a consultation to find out parish residents’ views regarding:

• current and planned large-scale wind turbine projects.
• the possibility of further development.
• whether there should be a large scale community wind energy project.
• what community development they would like to see.

Questionnaires will be sent to everyone in the parish who is age 16 or older; and all are invited to a public information event, on Tuesday, June 19, at 8pm in the community hall, to hear more about the issues involved and to raise any questions that they have.

The deadline for questionnaire returns is June 30 and results will be published in a full report in July.
