Fatal accident in St Mary’s

A 32-year-old man has died after an accident involving overhead power lines in St Mary’s village yesterday afternoon.

The man, named locally as Cliff Cooper, passed away at the scene.

A police statement said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
