Find out more about placemaking

Orkney Islands Council is holding a Placemaking Open Day today, Saturday, in the foyer of the Kirkwall and St Ola Community Centre.

OIC Planning Manager Stuart West said: “This has been organised to give people who couldn’t make the weekday open day in the tent on the Kirk Green earlier this summer an opportunity to see the draft placemaking proposals for Kirkwall and provide comments.”

The draft proposals are also available online by following the link from the home page at www.orkney.gov.uk

Feedback from the public is being sought during a consultation running until August 19. Views and ideas will help shape the development of detailed placemaking proposals at a later stage.
