Honorary degree for Ola

The founder of Ola Gorie is due to receive an honorary degree from Gray’s School of Art, Robert Gordon University, this morning.

Ola Tait, who received an MBE for her services to the jewellery industry in 1999, was the first graduate from the institution’s jewellery department in 1959.

Having finished college she set up the company and continued to design jewellery until her retirement in 1997.
