Millquoy Jade named Dounby Show Champion

A five-year-old Shetland pony took the top honours at this year’s Dounby Show.

Owned by J. & M. Slater, Millquoy, Stenness, and handled by Susie Manson, Millquoy Jade was the judges’ unanimous winner.

Overall reserve went to the in-hand pony champion Hyval Hearsay, a half British Warmblood and half Connemara owned by Kenny Flett, Berriedale, Dounby.

The four-year-old has had success at previous Dounby Show’s and was sired by Western Armada and out of the dam Race.
