Orkney company shortlisted in food and drink awards

An Orkney company has been shortlisted in the 2011 Highlands and Islands Food and Drink awards.

The Orkney Fishermen’s Society is in the running for the “Partnerships for Success” award, against Loch Fyne Oysters, Cairndow, Argyll.

The local company is one of 28 who have been shortlisted in a number of award categories, which are organised by the Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Forum, and supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

Category winners will be revealed at a dinner in the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness, on Friday, October 21.
