Orkney LEADER launches new Facebook page

A new Facebook page has been launched following the announcement that the Orkney LEADER Programme has been allocated over £2.5million of funding.

The page will be a useful resource for applicants to get up-to-date information about the Orkney LEADER 2014 to 2020 programme.

Case studies and videos that relate to Orkney LEADER projects are currently being produced and will be also available for viewing on the page.

Councillor James Stockan, chairman of Orkney Islands Council development and infrastructure committee said: “The Orkney LEADER programme has been enormously beneficial throughout a number of communities in Orkney and will continue to do so in the 2014 to 2020 programme.

“Facebook is a great way to share the positive impacts that LEADER funded projects has had on the islands. I encourage folks to get behind this Facebook page as it will be a fantastic resource to get up-to-date information about the LEADER programme as well as being kept abreast of what community groups are doing throughout Orkney.”
