Orkney on the cusp of league title after going try crazy against Glenrothes

Orkney RFC all but confirmed their status as best in the Caledonia region and league champions after recording a huge 98-8 victory at home to bottom-club Glenrothes.
The bonus-point victory moves Orkney level on points with Dunfermline but Orkney now top the league on points difference.
This afternoon’s thrashing means its just a matter of time before Orkney are confirmed as champions of Tennent’s Caledonia League Division 1.
With Dunfermline having finished their season some weeks ago, Orkney require just a single point, or even just by losing less than 60 points difference, from their final two games against second-bottom Aberdeen Wanderers and Grangemouth.
William Thomson got Orkney under way inside 30 seconds against Glenrothes and they had secured their eleventh try bonus-point of the season within 15 minutes.
The home side cut through Glenrothes at will with ease throughout, recording a mammoth win in their final home league game of the season to give the spectators plenty of cheer on a bitterly cold day.
