Over £26,000 raised for Children in Need

Over £26,000 was raised by the people of Orkney for the annual BBC Children in Need appeal.

By the end of Friday night’s marathon Radio Orkney programme — the 34th Children in Need appeal that Radio Orkney has run locally – the grand total stood at £26,666.

Last year’s total on the night was £24,872, with the final total just short of £26,000, thanks to the efforts of fundraisers in schools, organisations, and sponsors, as well as local businesses and individuals.
