Picky to host junior inter-county
The Pickaquoy Centre will be a hive of activity this weekend, with the annual junior inter-county between Orkney
and Shetland due to get under way today.
The action starts at 10.30am on the netball court, before the swimming competition takes place at 2.30pm. That is followed by the hockey contest, which will round off Saturday’s action at 4.30pm.
Athletics is the penultimate sport, with that event due to get under way at 10.30am tomorrow morning, before the footballers go head-to-head in the final contest, which is set for a 4pm kick-off.
Orkney will be aiming reclaim the Stuart Cup on home soil this year, after narrowly missing out on the coveted trophy in Shetland last year.
