Police appeal for missing woman

Police in Orkney and Caithness are appealing for information to help locate Jamila Patel, aged 41, from the Lancashire area, who was last seen boarding the passenger ferry from John O’Groats to Orkney around 10 days ago, around 1st/2nd September.

Ms Patel left a black 4×4 vehicle in the John O’Groats area prior to boarding the ferry and is believed to have travelled to the area in it.

Ms Patel is described as an Asian female, approximately 5’6″ tall with a slim build and brown hair. She speaks with a north-west English accent and sometimes wears glasses. It is not known what she was wearing when last seen.

Concern is growing for Ms Patel, with enquiries being carried out in Caithness and Orkney. Officers are appealing for anyone with information on her whereabouts to make contact via 101.
