Possible delays in Firth due to streetlighting upgrade

Orkney Islands Council is reminding motorists of possible delays for the week ahead due to ongoing roadworks to upgrade the streetlighting system, on the A966 between Finstown and the Firth School — particularly as there will be an increase in the number of pupils returning to school on Monday, February 22.

Works are expected to last for one additional week until February 26.

When working around the footbridge the council will be operating a marshalling system for the safety of footbridge users, and there may be short delays.
