Shapinsay Primary School in running for national sports award
Shapinsay Primary School will, tonight, discover if they have won a national award at Scotland’s most prestigious and high-profile sports awards.
The school is up against three other schools for the School Sport Award at the Sunday Mail sportscotland Scottish Sport Awards.
The ceremony, held tonight in Glasgow, will see some of the country’s biggest stars, including athlete Laura Muir, footballer Andy Robertson and Celtic FC, attend the bash.
The school was nominated for the award by sportscotland, following their success earlier this year in achieving their sportscotland Gold School Sports Award.
Head teacher Emma Clements, PE teacher Leanne Bews and Active Schools co-ordinator Kirsty Spence will represent the school at the ceremony.
