Suspected drugs worth £2,000 seized in Kirkwall Harbour

Police have recovered suspected Class A drugs, with an estimated street value of £2,000, following an intelligence-led search of a Lerwick- registered vessel at Kirkwall Harbour at the weekend.

Acting on information received, officers boarded the trawler Opportune on Saturday afternoon and carried out the search.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and a report is being prepared for the procurator fiscal.
