Thorfinn prepare for Highland Amateur Cup clash
Orkney’s sole representatives in the Highland Amateur Cup aim to seal a place in their fifth semi-final in eight years on Saturday, with Thorfinn taking on lochdar Saints.
The Kirkwall club’s captain Thorfinn Stout is an injury doubt for the quarter-final match. However, after beating Lairg Rovers 8-1 last weekend, as well as picking up a league victory away to Stromness midweek, confidence will be high.
Thofinn’s South Uist opponents have won the Uist and Barra league four times in the last five years and lost to Thorfinn three years ago at the same stage.
The match is set to be played in Maryburgh on Saturday afternoon with a kick-off time of 1pm.
