The RNLI Longhope lifeboat was on the scene after operations led to the MV Priscilla being refloated last night. The above video shows the lifeboat escorting the Priscilla and the two tugs — Multratug 20 and Green Isle — which took part in the operation.
The 89m container vessel had been sitting hard aground on the Pentland Skerries since the early morning of Wednesday, July 18, and was successfully re-floated at 9pm last night after salvage efforts.
Following an initial assessment, it was agreed by HM Coastguard, that she was in safe condition to be towed to Scapa Flow, Orkney.
