Weather causing ferry disruptions

Due to adverse weather conditions the 4.50pm Pentland Ferries sailing from St Margaret’s Hope and 6.30pm sailing from Gills Bay today are cancelled.

The 11.50am sailing from St Margaret’s Hope departed as normal but the 1.30pm from Gills Bay may be subject to delays.

• NorthLink has cancelled the 4.45pm sailing from Stromness and the 7pm sailing from Scrabster today.

The mv Hjaltland was also scheduled to depart Kirkwall for Aberdeen at 23.45pm. However, due to the forecast, this sailing has been cancelled
