Wyre harbour survey after ferry damaged
A survey is to be carried out after the Orkney Ferries vessel Eynhallow suffered propeller damage as she approached Wyre at the end of last week.
Both propellers were replaced during overnight repairs, enabling the ferry to return to service on Friday. The cause of the damage is unknown at present, but a survey will be carried out in the area where it happened.
In the meantime, runs to and from Wyre will not take place at low tide. Up to date information on any service disruption is available at www.orkneyferries.co.uk
