Alleged hit and run under investigation

An investigation is under way into an alleged hit and run incident in Kirkwall.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after 5pm on Sunday, January 30 at the Kiln corner roundabout between Harbour Street and Junction Road.

At this time a silver Isuzu Pick Truck approached the roundabout travelling from the direction of Harbour Street. According to police, the vehicle did not display lights, failed to stop or give way, and collided with the passenger door of another vehicle on the roundabout. The driver allegedly failed to stop and the vehicle made off along Junction Road and out of sight.
