Christmas tree collection service next week

The festivities are over and Orkney Islands Council will be carrying out a Christmas tree collection service next week — January 12 to 16.

The service is only available to Mainland residents within 30mph limit areas.

Those outwith those areas can take their tree to the recycling centres at Hatston, Garson, Bossack, Cursiter Quarry, St Margaret’s Hope or Dounby. Christmas trees should be out at the normal collection point by 8am to ensure collection.

Collection dates are as follows:

Area
A, F, I — Monday, January 12.
B, G, J — Tuesday, January 13.
C,H, K — Wednesday, January 14.
D, L — Thursday, January 15.
E, M — Friday, January 16.
