COVID-19 vaccination figures charts Orkney progress
The latest statistical data shows that the COVID-19 vaccination programme here in Orkney is continuing at pace.
Weekly figures published today by Public Health Scotland show that as of Monday, January 18, 1,481 had received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
This amounts to 7.92 per cent coverage of Orkney using Scottish population estimates.
The 1,481 figure is up from the 968 doses that had been delivered according to the previous week’s data.
Other island groups, Shetland had vaccinated 1,158 up to Monday, and in the Western Isles, 2,696.
On a nationwide scale, more than 240,000 people in Scotland — 5.29 per cent of the population — has received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
