Disruptions to OIC services on November 30

Due to the planned national industrial action taking place on Wednesday, November 30, Orkney Islands Council is advising of the following service disruptions:

Schools
The council expects all schools in Orkney to be closed to pupils with the exceptions of:

• St Andrews Primary School which will open as normal.
• Papa Westray Primary School, for which details will be confirmed in due course.

Parents are being informed by the school their children attend.

The Papdale Halls of Residence will be open as normal to pupils.

Orkney College
There will be disruption to courses at Orkney College, but the building will be open for private study to pupils aged over 18.

Other Services
Further updates on expected disruptions to wider council services will be provided to local press and via www.orkney.gov.uk as they become available.
