Driver dies after road accident

One of the drivers involved in the two-vehicle crash on the Orphir road last Monday has died from his injuries.

According to police, John Wylie, 89, from Kirkwall, was transferred from the Balfour Hospital to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow as his condition had deteriorated. He subsequently died on Saturday, March 31.

Police ask that anyone who has information regarding the collision but have not yet been interviewed, should contact Kirkwall Police Station on 872241.
