Fire Service called to vehicle fire

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has dealt with a vehicle fire near Kirkwall Airport this morning.

One appliance was mobilised just after 11 o’clock to tackle the single vehicle fire, which was situated off the A960, the road that runs past the airport.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the appliance left the scene at 11.56am.
