Four sides to contest first-legs of Parish Cup semi-finals

Westray beat St Andrews to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2010.
Westray beat St Andrews to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2010.

The first legs of The Orcadian Parish Cup semi-finals are due to be played this Sunday, with Rendall hosting Westray, while Holm travel west to Stromness’s Market Green pitch.

In a repeat of last year’s showpiece, Stromness welcome Holm in the second match of the day at 5pm. Holm will be gunning for revenge against a side that beat them 2-0 last year to lift the famous cup. Both sides go into the match in excellent form after Stromness beat St Ola comprehensively, while the East Mainland side thumped Sanday 7-2 in their quarter-final second-leg tie to seal their spot in the last four.

The day’s first game is set to kick-off at 2pm, with Westray travelling to The Rockery in Rendall. The sides met last year in round one, two games that saw Rendall beat the North Isles side comfortably.
