Get behind public vote for KGS Young Enterprise team

Kirkwall Grammar School’s Young Enterprise team head off to the Scottish Finals this week – and are looking for local folk to get behind them in a public vote.

As part of the Scottish Finals their company, Fjara Jewellery, will compete in the ‘People’s Choice Award’ which is being run via the Daily Record. The winner of this award will be selected through an online vote via the Daily Record website.

Fjara created jewellery using sea glass collected from beaches around Orkney, selling them at various events, craft fairs and in local shops.

Fifteen Young Enterprise Companies from across Scotland will compete in the final in Glasgow next Wednesday, June 17. The overall winner of the Scottish final will go on to represent Scotland at the UK finals in July.
