Help is at hand to get online
A two-year initiative in Orkney to help local people access the internet, learn new skills and realise the benefits of being online launches in the Kirkwall Community Centre today, Thursday.
A drop-in session, from 12.30pm onwards, will show how to get online, save money on bills, research hobbies, use email, and keep in touch with friends and family around the world.
The event is the culmination of a week of free internet taster sessions taking place across the county.
The project is managed by national charity Citizens Online and funded by BT, as part of the wider Get IT Together programme, Orkney Housing Association Ltd (OHAL), Scottish Government (PCF), Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and a variety of local partners.
