Hockey team declared champions

Orkney’s hockey team have won the Scottish District Cup, after beating MCC Western IV in Peffermill today.

The Orkney team beat the Glasgow side 3-2 to record a deserved win and claim the trophy.

Fiona Miller scored in the second half to  complement Claire Irvine’s first-half brace and restore Orkney’s two-goal cushion, before MCC claimed a late consolation.
