Hotspurs claim win at Bignold Park

Hotspurs came out on top in this evening’s Kirkwall derby in the Orkney Cheese ‘A’ League with a 2-1 win over Thorfinn.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half and Thorfinn missed a second-half penalty before Spurs doubled their advantage from the penalty spot with 20 minutes to go.

Thorfinn found the net with the third penalty of the game ten minutes from time, but Hotspurs held out for the victory, with Duncan Gray named as the Swannay Brewery Man of the Match.
