Hoy coastguard assist angler

The Hoy coastguard team was called to the assistance of a man who slipped and fell while fishing on rocks to the south of Moaness Pier yesterday afternoon.

Shetland Coastguard confirmed they had been contacted by ambulance control, after receiving a call from the stricken angler, asking for their assistance.

The man was helped to the ferry and taken to Balfour Hospital for a check up, although it is believed his injuries were not serious.
