Inverness Caley legend set to feature for Tain during weekend’s sport
Orkney FC host an in-form Tain St Duthus side this Saturday, with the visitors being boosted by the recent signing of Ross Tokely.
The Inverness Caledonian Thistle legend is expected to make the trip north as Tain seek to continue their impressive league form.
Following back-to-back wins against Alness United and league leaders Invergordon, and having strung six wins on the bounce, confidence will be high against an Orkney side playing their first match of 2019.
Goalkeeper Cameron McConnachie returns to the side following his stint in America — a huge boost for the side.
The match is due to kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday at the KGS 3G.
Meanwhile, Orkney RFC face an important fixture of their own, away to Murrayfield Wanderers.
The clash in Edinburgh see eighth host ninth, with Wanderers two points ahead of Orkney.
Orkney lost out 0-26 last weekend at home to high-flying Newton Stewart and they will be keen to get back to winning ways in the 11am kick-off.
Also, there’s a feast of netball action on Saturday, with the Primary Netball League on. Play is from 12 noon until 2.30pm at the Picky.
In badminton, the Primary School Singles and Doubles Championships start at 9.15am at Picky on Sunday.
