Part-time (22.5 hours over 3 days a week, Monday-Sunday)
Full-time (37.5 hours over 5 days a week, Monday-Sunday)
Based at Highland Park Distillery/Albert Street, Kirkwall, Orkney.
Pay £14.26 per hour (£21.39 per hour at weekends)
37 days’ holiday, plus 4 Giving More volunteer days (pro rata)

We are excited to offer opportunities for Visitor Experience Hosts to join our team on a seasonal basis, with both part-time and full-time positions available. Based at the Highland Park Distillery and Albert Street shop in Orkney, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, consistently exceeding visitor expectations. As the welcoming face of our brand, you will engage and delight our guests, ensuring they enjoy a truly 5-star hospitality experience at every stage of their visit.
Shifts will vary across weekdays and weekends. You will work predominantly 9.30am to 5.30pm; however, dependant on business needs, there may be some evening work required.
Make an Impact
Reporting to the Visitor Experience Manager, key responsibilities include:
Welcoming all visitors with professionalism whilst delivering a 5-star visitor experience in all areas of our Highland Park Distillery and shop
Providing distillery and virtual tour experiences, whisky tastings and excellent retail customer service, imparting up-to-date whisky knowledge
Maintaining up-to-date stock knowledge regarding pricing, product origination, product function and story
Through engagement and personal drive, ensuring that every guest leaves having had a distinctive Highland Park experience
Ensuring excellent standards of housekeeping are maintained
Your Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role, you must have an enthusiastic, committed ‘can do’ approach to your work. You work well under pressure, enjoying working both within a team and individually. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important within this role. You have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekend work and some evenings. A full, clean driving licence is required as there may be occasional driving duties.
