League champions off to winning start

Orkney Cheese ‘A’ League champions Kirkwall Rovers kicked off their title defence with a 4-0 victory over St Andrews at the Bignold Park this evening.

Rovers scored two goals in either half, with Gary MacKay netting twice inside the opening ten minutes and Chris Simpson adding two after the break. MacKay was also named as the Swannay Brewery Man of the Match.
