Orkney's senior netball side who progressed into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup Quaich this afternoon, beating Claremont. — Orkney’s senior netball side who progressed into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup Quaich this afternoon beating Claremont 56-19.

Orkney’s netballers made it a hat-trick of victories for the county’s teams as they beat East Kilbride side Claremont in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup Quaich this afternoon.

The islanders beat Claremont 56-19 in a comprehensive victory to progress to the semi-finals where they will face either Peeble Flames or Dunfermline.

Earlier in the day, Orkney’s footballers beat Alness United 3-2 in the Ness Cup, while the county’s rugby players secured a comprehensive 46-5 victory over Livingston.

Orkney’s hockey players could make it a quadruple victory for the county as they face Dunfermline Carnegie Ladies 1s in the semi-finals of the Scottish District Cup. The match is set to start at 12 noon tomorrow at Aberdeen Sports Village.
