New chapter as The Orcadian goes digital
Today, Thursday, November 1, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the history of The Orcadian newspaper.
At 8am today, Thursday, we launch the digital edition of your newspaper — an exact replica of our printed version — available to buy and view on your home computer, laptop or tablet.
So whether you are an Orcadian expat wanting to stay up to date on events back home, or away on holiday or business, the new digital edition means that The Orcadian will be available, for the first time, anywhere in the world on the day of publication.
You can buy a single issue or subscribe for 13, 26 or 52 weeks here and because there’s no post and packing to worry about, your purchase is at cover price.
The digital edition looks exactly the same as the newsprint version, the pages turn on your mouse click and you can zoom in and out of pages for easy reading. An easy-to-use index lets you jump straight to your favourite sections and you can bookmark pages for easy return. In addition, all your previous purchases remain in a personal archive for browsing or searching.
