New chief executive for Orkney Housing Association

Orkney Housing Association Ltd (OHAL) has appointed a new chief executive.

Craig Spence, who joined OHAL in April 2014 as director of operations, will take over from current chief executive Sally Inkster who retires in October.

Mr Spence, who has a business background and non-executive experience on a number of public bodies, said: “Sally and the management committee have developed an organisation to be proud of.

“I am delighted to have been selected and look forward to leading the association to continue delivering quality housing and services for our residents.”

Ms Inkster added: “I gave the association ample notice so there was sufficient time to enable them to get the best person for the job.

“I am delighted with their decision and will work with Craig over the coming months to ensure a seamless handover in October.”
