New SNH area boss appointed

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) has a new senior manager in Kristin Scott to oversee the organisation’s operations in the Northern Isles and North Highland areas.

With more than 25 years of experience in environmental issues, Ms Scott has been appointed area manager covering Caithness, Sutherland, Orkney, and Shetland. She will be based at SNH’s office in Golspie.

In 2011, Shetland and Orkney joined with Sutherland and Caithness to form the Northern Isles and North Highland area with offices in Lerwick, Kirkwall, Ullapool, and Golspie.
