Orkney RFC will be hoping to give their supporters a final home victory of the season when they take on Irvine on Saturday

Orkney RFC are due to play their final home match, and penultimate fixture of the season as Irvine visit Orkney for the second part of a double-header between the sides.

Orkney fell to a 31-20 defeat to the side sitting second bottom of BT National League Division 3 two weeks ago, but have the opportunity to gain revenge in front of a home crowd at Pickaquoy, and give their home support a final cheer as the 2015/16 season nears its conclusion.

Orkney are sixth in BT National League Division 3, four points behind Perthshire who have played a game more, while this will be Irvine’s final match of their league campaign with the Ayrshire side second bottom, five points clear of Berwick having both played 21 matches.

Orkney’s season is due to end next weekend when they travel to face Motherwell side Dalziel on Saturday, April 16.

Saturday’s match is due to kick off at 12 noon.
