Police launch appeal after man hit by car

A 38-year-old man was taken to The Balfour on Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Kirkwall’s Harbour Street. 

Police are now searching for information in relation to the incident which occurred outside the Kirkwall hotel just after 6.30pm on Saturday.

The collision is understood to have involved a red Volkswagen Golf.

The 38 year old sustained several injuries and was taken to hospital. Police understand him to be in a stable condition.
