RNLI cyclists due home on Saturday
RNLI fundraising cyclists Brian Ratter and Brian Hughes, who are taking on the challenge of cycling 800 miles around the Highlands and Islands – visiting 18 lifeboat stations along the way to raise funds for the RNLI – have now reached Wick Lifeboat Station on their journey back home.
The pair, who left Orkney last Tuesday, along with support vehicle driver Harcus Hutchison, are set to arrive back in Orkney tomorrow, Saturday, afternoon, the same day at a major RNLI fundraiser takes place at Kirkwall Lifeboat Station and in the St Ola Hotel.
On Saturday a host of events are set to begin at the station at 12 noon, and in the hotel from 2pm until late. The team are expected to arrive around 12.30- 1pm or so.
